Greetings Mercenaries -
I wanted to take a moment to warn everyone I am still waiting patiently on CCP to update the stickied post at the top of the forum to clarify what the CPM forum is and should be. It is incredibly important that we keep this resource useful, and to do that we need to keep this subforum focused and free of clutter.
TL,DR: The Council's Chamber is for discussing the Council itself, not for raising all the concerns you want to discuss with the council about the game. If you have a thread you want a response in, the best way to do this is to send us an email, tweet, or Skype message with a link to the thread you want a comment on.
As Iron Wolf has already pointed out, this is NOT a place to duplicate your threads from General Discussion OR the Features & Ideas subforums. The CPM has a responsibility to peruse those forums, and to raise issues with CCP as needed, regardless of whether you post here in the CPM forum. Your thread will not carry more weight because you asked about it here, than in one of the other areas for addressing concerns regarding the game itself. In fact, the more clutter that piles up in here, the more likely we are to be overwhelmed by the sheer volume of redundant threads and the less likely we are to respond.
This is why I was adamant that the CPM forum not carry the same introduction and instructions as the Assembly Hall in the EVE forums, which is widely known as one of the most useless and un-read subforums, and one that the CSM has tried to abolish because people are mislead into thinking if they post something there it carries more weight.
Hopefully you will see an updated sticky post at the top of the CPM forum here shortly, but in essence the purpose of this forum is to find our contact information (again, we'll sticky this up shortly once CCP has clarified the subforum's purpose), and for you to raise concerns about our performance (or give us praise if you're so inclined). It will also be the primary location where we debate and discuss the way the council is structured, including discussion of the voting system, the creation of a CPM "white paper", and for us to post information about Town Halls, summits, etc.
I welcome your questions and feedback about the Council, how we operate, what we're working on, and how we can improve - but please keep your threads sharp and focused on this material alone. We're already up to two pages of threads that actually belong in Features & Ideas / General Discussion, and I want to put an end to this as quickly as possible so that this can remain a useful tool for interfacing with the CPM constructively.
Thank you for your understanding and for respecting your peers in the community by abiding by these guidelines while CCP updates their post and clarifies how this forum is to be used. |
